I migrated as a young girl from Ghana to join my parents here Canada in the 90’s. When I graduated from high school in 2000 I enrolled in the Hospitality and Tourism Administration Program at Centennial College.
After graduating from the Hospitality and Tourism Program I held a position as a Guest Service Agent at Quality Hotel and Suites but that was short lived because it wasn’t challenging enough. I explored other opportunities in administrative roles while trying to figure out my next course of action. I went into healthcare and has never looked back since.
l’ve been in working in healthcare since 2010 and as my passion grew for the field I enrolled in the practical nursing program at Seneca College.

I successfully wrote the Board Exams and became a registered practical nurse (RPN) in 2017. I am a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing. As a nurse, I’ve had the priviledge of working in various healthcare settings including the hospital, long term care, retirement homes, safe injection sites, and group homes. With my experience I want to educate and enlighten my community about the importance blood donations.
RISING HOPE FOUNDATION INT. is a foundation created to also promote Awareness of Blood and Stem Cells Donation in African communities all over the world.
My role with RISING HOPE will enable me to fulfill the core values of this foundation. In addition, within the RPN scope of practice, provide assessment, planning, interventions and evaluations to individuals donating blood.
I am honored to be part of a rewarding organization whose primary focus is giving back to the community and Canada as a whole.
