Cynthia Appiah

Co-Founder

Cynthia Appiah is a Ghanaian native who migrated to Canada on December 24th, 1993, with her family; at a young age. She studied Business Management Financial Services at Humber College (Lakeshore Campus), Pre- Health Science at George Brown College and Medical Laboratory Technician at CDI College and graduated with a Diploma.

Cynthia completed her Board exam with the Ontario Society of Medical Technologist (OSMT) and earned her License as a Certified Medical Laboratory Technician. In her 16 years’ of experience in the industry, Cynthia has worked at serval HealthCare sectors such as: THE DOCTOR OFFICE (MCI), GAMMA DYNACARE, WEST BRAMPTON CLINIC, HALTON HEALTHCARE (MILTON DISTRICT HOSPITAL) AND CANADIAN BLOOD SERVICES.

She is currently working with the Canadian Blood Services as Donor Care Associates (DCA). In her 10 years’ of service with CBS, Cynthia is also one of the ISTP (Instructional Staff Training Program) in CBS. She is a member of the OPSEU UNION (local 5103) and a Trustee board member. Furthermore, Cynthia is a co-founder of RISING HOPE FOUNDATION INT. A foundation created to promote Blood Donation and Stem Cells awareness in the African decent communities. Healthy Nutrition, Children Education and Teenage Pregnancy are included in the organizations program.

Cynthia has developed a strong passion and the ability to help the underprivileged in society. Moreover, Cynthia Appiah is a proud formal member of the ROTARY INTERNATIONAL (BRAMALEA CLUB DISTRICT 7080). As co-founder I trust that an organization like Rising Hope Foundation Int. Can save and change lives for the better.
